Postop Recovery

You will need to take it easy for the first few days at home, but you have to stay moving.  A small amount of walking around the house is important as well as showering and eating a healthy, balanced diet.  No lifting over 10 pounds and no baths.  All suture material absorbs.  Patients must avoid sexual activity for 2 months after a hysterectomy and avoid becoming pregnant for at least 3 months after tubal reversal or Essure reversal.  You will meet with Dr. Neef, our (either in person or virtually) for postop follow-up appointment 2 weeks after your robotic surgery.
